ZTE Grand Memo Full HD Phablet Powered by Snapdragon 800 Unveiled

ZTE Grand Memo V9815

We have the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 driven smartphone. It’s from the house of ZTE, one of the leading Chinese smartphone manufacturers. ZTE is also working on the NVIDIA Tegra 4. Sometime soon we may heard about a new one running the Tegra 4. In this years MWC ZTE also unveiled the first Firefox OS powered smartphone ZTE Open. In simple words we can say ZTE is having fun in the middle and doing some fabulous job. Anyway, ZTE Grand Memo is a 5.7 inch phablet powered by quad core 1.5 GHz Krait 400 application processor and Aderno 330 GPU. Aderno 330 is so far the most powerful GPU delivered by Qualcomm that supports 2160p video which is double to even Qualcomm Snapdragon 600′s Aderno 320. Also Krait 400 is faster than Krait 300. Therefore, ZTE Grand Memo is faster than LG Optimus G Pro or HTC One or ASUS PadFone Infinity.

ZTE Grand Memo sports full HD 1080p display. The giant phablet boasts slimmer profile. It’s measured to have a thickness of just 8.5 mm.  The phablet is coming with a LTE variant but I guess the ZTE radio is optional and specific to the US carriers. The big smartphone gets a whooping 3200 mAh battery. But it’s much needed as the processor is too powerful and will consume more power. Display is big and full HD. Therefore, it’s a wise decision from ZTE to bundle a battery something like this with this handset. Entertainment lovers would love the Dolby Digital Plus sound enhancement integration. It boosts overall sound and the clarity is intact.
As you would have expected there is a 13 MP rear facing camera in all new ZTE Grand Memo. Front camera is a 1 MP camera. The phablet is coming in 16 GB storage model with a micro SD card slot. Overall specs are extremely good for the gamers. Isn’t it? In CES ZTE unveiled Grand S, now Grand Memo. What’s next?

Features of ZTE Grand Memo

  • 5.7 inch Full HD display, 386 ppi
  • LTE/HSPA+ speed
  • Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 SoC
  • 1.5 GHz Krait 400 Quad Core Processor, Aderno 330 GPU
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Android 4.1 JellyBean OS, planned upgrade to v4.2 JellyBean
  • 13 MP camera, full HD video recording, 2 MP front camera
  • 3200 mAh battery
Well, there is no news on its arrival in Indian market. But it looks like before second quarter it will not be made available in any market. It’s using the fastest quad core processor in this handset. Therefore, price will be in the higher side.
