Asus PadFone Infinity Full HD Phablet with 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 Official



Asus joins the quad core shootout with all new Asus PadFone Infinity! Like other manufacturers Asus have chosen 5 inch display as standard to showcase their all new beast. Optional dock or PadFone Station is also coming in market to transform the phablet it to a full fledged tablet. PadFone station comes with huge 10.1 inch display and bigger battery as well. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600chip the phablet gets 2 GB RAM to exploit which simply increases the degree of multitasking. It’s a new chip from Qualcomm that is used in two recent flagships viz. LG Optimus G ProHTC One. Asus PadFone Infinity gets the Android 4.2 JellyBean out of the box.


Asus PadFone Infinity sports 5 inch Super IPS+ LCD Capacitive touch screen with 1920×1080 pixels resolution support at 441 ppi and 10 finger multi-touch. Corning Gorilla Glass coating on display surface protects the display from external scratches. The phablet is coming with optional LTE Radio. LTE variant will be launched in selected markets. In rest of the markets like India HSPA+ variant will be launched.
Asus PadFone Infinity will be available in two flavors, 32/64 GB. Unfortunately, there is no micro SD card slot. But this amount of storage is enough for a heavy user. Isn’t it? It flaunts 13 MP rear camera with full HD 1080p @30 fps and 720p@60 fps video recording support. There is a front facing 2 MP camera as well. Asus PadFone Infinity is packed with Li-Po 2400 mAh battery. The PadFone Station comes with additional 5000 mAh battery.

Iocean X7 Spotted in the Wild

Iocean X7  or OuSheng X7 is spotted in the wild. This time images are pretty sharp and you should get the feeling that it’s a premium smartphone that is expected to be shipped in Indian market at an amazingly low price tag. According to  Gizchina  the droid could be priced 999 Yuan or $160 USD which means in India you can expect the phablet for as low as Rs 9000. Iocean also mentioned the same in their official mailer last week. Release date is not mentioned, but you can expect it by March. As I already mentioned in my previous post it sports 5 inch Full HD display at 441 ppi, 13 MP camera, quad core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, 2 GB RAM and of course Android 4.1 JellyBean out of the box. Do you need anything else in this budget? In China few lucky users are able to get their hands in to this lovely little piece of smartphone. Iocean is expected to ship review copies soon. But I haven’t received any official news from their end as of now.

Sony Xperia Z Launch in India on 6th March

The Sony flagship smartphone is on the way to India. With a teaser on it’s official Facebook Page, Sony Mobile has confirmed that Xperia Z will be launch on March 6th in Indian markets. There is not much information regarding the price of this smartphone, but rumours suggest that the price will be something similar to recently announced HTC Butterfly, which costs Rs. 45,500.
