HTC One Features & Specs

HTC One

HTC One aka HTC M7 is officially announced by HTC in a press event in London. It comes with some of the best hardware out there in market. It’s the first smartphone to ship in market with brand new Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 SoC. It’s a Krait 300 based chip were quad Krait cores are clocked at 1.7 GHz. We have seen HTC ButterflySony Xperia Z or LG Optimus G running Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro where Krait cores are clocked at 1.5 GHz. This time brand new Snapdragon 600 that ensures great performance and rich graphics. You can expect at least 40% performance improvement as compared to Snapdragon S4 Pro. The chip also consumes lesser power. Krait 300 cores can be over-clocked up to 1.9 GHz. Aderno 320 GPU and LPDDR3 memory takes care of high graphic output.

In camera segment HTC have brought some revolutionary changes. It sports a 4 MP rear facing camera. Don’t be upset! It’s not an ordinary camera! It’s an UltraPixel camera with giant 1/3 inch sensor (smaller fraction means bigger sensor, Nokia Lumia 920 has 1/3 inch sensor but PureView technology is different) with camera extras like auto focus, LED flash, face and smile detection, simultaneous HD video and image recording, HDR etc. It records full HD 1080p video at 30 fps. Front facing 2.1 MP camera unit is there as well. Front camera can record full HD video too. UltraPixel technology uses bigger sensor. Aperture size is also way big. This gets 300% more light in the internal photo-voltaic cells of the camera which in return offers beautiful sharp images even in low light.

The LTE variants are mainly heading to USA and Canada. Quite surprisingly Verizon Wireless in yet to declare their stand, but other three major carrier AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will bring HTC One in contract.
