iBall Andi 5l Phablet Priced At Rs 12k

iBall Andi 5l

iBall Andi 5l looks like the newest member from iBall family. One of the leading computer peripheral manufacturer iBall have silenty introuced the phablet in Rediff Shopping at Rs 11990. Built on Android 4.0 ICS platform iBall Andi 5l will not impress you too much especially when you have seen Android 4.1 JellyBean in all upcoming handsets at around the same price tag. It flaunts 5 inch TFT LCD Super Responsive Capacitive touch screen with WVGA resolution. Currently manufacturers are working hard on increasing display resolution. qHD is a must even if it’s not HD. Umi X2 ,Iocean X7 might have full HD display at around Rs 12000. considering all these iBall Andi 5l’s WVGA display disappoints me. Recently launched Micromax Canvas HD sports 720p HD resolution.

iBall Andi 5l comes with 4 GB ROM. You can expect approx 2 GB free for user. Micro SD card slot is there that can house up to 32 GB of storage. amount of RAM used in this handset is unknown. In case it’s 1 GB it will make the handset to some extent impressive even at this price tag. The phablet is coming in grey and white color model only. In rear panel there is a a 8 MP auto focus camera with LED flash. Front camera is there as well.
iBall Andi 5l does not look too impressive especially if you compare the specs of the handset with Micromax Canvas 2 or Lava Iris 501. Canvas 2 is very hard to get. In many markets sellers are charging more than 12k for this handset although it should be priced close to Rs 10000. Lava Iris 501 is best alternative. You may also consider iBall Andi 4.5H with dual core processor and 1 GB RAM. For a 5 inch phablet 1800 mAh battery is just too small. You might end up getting 2-3 hrs of usage.

Iocean X7 Spotted in the Wild

Iocean X7  or OuSheng X7 is spotted in the wild. This time images are pretty sharp and you should get the feeling that it’s a premium smartphone that is expected to be shipped in Indian market at an amazingly low price tag. According to  Gizchina  the droid could be priced 999 Yuan or $160 USD which means in India you can expect the phablet for as low as Rs 9000. Iocean also mentioned the same in their official mailer last week. Release date is not mentioned, but you can expect it by March. As I already mentioned in my previous post it sports 5 inch Full HD display at 441 ppi, 13 MP camera, quad core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, 2 GB RAM and of course Android 4.1 JellyBean out of the box. Do you need anything else in this budget? In China few lucky users are able to get their hands in to this lovely little piece of smartphone. Iocean is expected to ship review copies soon. But I haven’t received any official news from their end as of now.
