Samsung Galaxy Star! It’s the newest member from Samsung’s Galaxy family that the South Korean giant is readying for upcoming Mobile World Congress. Full specs of the droid are unknown but according to a report of Sammobile it sports 3 inch QVGA display, 2 MP camera and basic connectivity features. It looks like a refurbished Galaxy Pocket. Unlike the current low-cost smartphones Samsung is offering Android 4.1 JellyBean out of the box. As you already know none of the currently available low-cost ARMv6 smartphones will get OS upgrade. So if you are a big fan of Samsung this will increase an option for you.
Couple of weeks ago Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame were unveiled. Now another low-cost smartphone is lined up. According to the source Samsung Galaxy Star comes with 4 GB ROM and micro SD card slot. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPRS/EDGE, HSDPA speed up to 7.2 Mbps is pretty certain. No info on the chip. In best case it could have a 1 GHz single core Cortex A9 processor. Just couple of days more and MWC will start! Till then you might love to check out more updates from tech2auto.in.
