Celkon A225 is another low cost dual SIM, dual core powered handset running on the Jelly Bean OS with 512MB RAM and a 4.7 inch FWVGA screen for a price of Rs. 9,099. The handset is now available on Flipkart.
Lava mobiles recently released the Lava Iris 502 we are still not sure if it’s with single core or dual core processor. There is a Rs. 500 difference between the Celkon A225 and Iris 502. If 502 turn’s out to be a dual core then it definitely will be the first choice.
The Celkon A225 is powered by 1GHz dual core processor (possibly MediaTek with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU). The screen is 4.7 inch IPS with 853×480 pixels resolution. The RAM is 512MB with 4Gigs of internal storage.
An 8MP camera is placed on the rear with LED flash and a front 2MP camera for video chats. This dual SIM handset supports 3G and comes with all other basic features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc. A 2100 mAh battery will easily give a usage time of about 24 hours and over.
The specs looks good and price just right, it could compete with other dual core handsets with about the same price tag and features. The Celkon A225 has an advantage and i.e the Jelly Bean OS and 2MP front camera.

Iocean X7 Spotted in the Wild

Iocean X7  or OuSheng X7 is spotted in the wild. This time images are pretty sharp and you should get the feeling that it’s a premium smartphone that is expected to be shipped in Indian market at an amazingly low price tag. According to  Gizchina  the droid could be priced 999 Yuan or $160 USD which means in India you can expect the phablet for as low as Rs 9000. Iocean also mentioned the same in their official mailer last week. Release date is not mentioned, but you can expect it by March. As I already mentioned in my previous post it sports 5 inch Full HD display at 441 ppi, 13 MP camera, quad core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, 2 GB RAM and of course Android 4.1 JellyBean out of the box. Do you need anything else in this budget? In China few lucky users are able to get their hands in to this lovely little piece of smartphone. Iocean is expected to ship review copies soon. But I haven’t received any official news from their end as of now.

Sony Xperia Z Launch in India on 6th March
