Mogu is entering in Indian market with lot of buzz. The 5 inch Rs 2500 phablet is highly appreciated by geeks. Currently in low cost market lot of open space are there. With a good compact smartphone any company can expect bunch of sales. Micromax, Byond, Celkon, Spice are selling some smartphone in less than Rs 3500 budget but most of all these handsets lack 3G connectivity and pack outdated Android 2.3 Gingerbread. I don’t whether upcoming Mogu S1 is built on Ice Cream Sandwich or not but certainly the 5 inch display gives it a straight edge over the rivals especially when the expected price is less than Rs 3000. Anyway, Mogu M5 might be the high-end smartphone the vendor is planning for Indian market. Of course, it’s a quad core phablet.
Possibly, Mogu M5 will run Android 4.2 JellyBean out of the box. It’s the most interesting point about this handset. Other handset announced with Android 4.2 JellyBean is Lenovo IdeaPhone s890. Anyway, quad core MediaTek MT6589 is pretty certain. It could pack at least 1 GB RAM. Possibly, the rear camera is a 8 MP one. I know you would love to have a 13 MP camera especially when Umi X2 and JiaYu G4 sport 13 MP camera. Also 5 inch HD display is very much in the cards. Zopo is also planning a 5.7 inch quad core phablet. Wait for future updates on Mogu M5...
