Alcatel OT 5020E is another smartphone from Alcatel, a Paris, France based telecommunication company. Today two other smartphones have been spotted i.e.OT 4005D and OT 4010E in Flipkart running Android 4.1 JellyBean. But Alcatel OT 5020E is built on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Dual core 1 GHz processor is used in the handset. Exact SoC is unknown but it looks like it’s theMediaTek MT6577. I don’t think it’s Qualcomm MSM8225. Anyway, RAM is 512 MB. Couple of extra features like SRS Surround Sound audio enhancement, Wi-Fi direct are there. That’s the reason it’s the best smartphone you will get in less than Rs 7500 price tag. Micromax A89 Ninja or Spice Stellar Nhance are placed next to this handset just because of two excellent features mentioned above. You might say Spice Stellar Nhance has 8 MP camera but I don’t bother about it too much as long as both the camera are fixed focus. I would rather prefer Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct and SRS Surround Sound.
In rear panel of Alcatel OT 5020E there is a 5 MP fixed focus camera. Front facing VGA camera is there as well. It sports 4 inch TFT LCD display with WVGA resolution. It equips 4 GB ROM and micro SD card slot that house up to 32 GB storage. In connectivity segment along with W-Fi Direct there are Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi with tethering and micro USB port.
Li Ion 1500 mAH battery is used in this handset that can deliver up to 13 hrs of talk time and 400 hrs of standby time. For better user experience accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor are there.

Iocean X7 Spotted in the Wild

Iocean X7  or OuSheng X7 is spotted in the wild. This time images are pretty sharp and you should get the feeling that it’s a premium smartphone that is expected to be shipped in Indian market at an amazingly low price tag. According to  Gizchina  the droid could be priced 999 Yuan or $160 USD which means in India you can expect the phablet for as low as Rs 9000. Iocean also mentioned the same in their official mailer last week. Release date is not mentioned, but you can expect it by March. As I already mentioned in my previous post it sports 5 inch Full HD display at 441 ppi, 13 MP camera, quad core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, 2 GB RAM and of course Android 4.1 JellyBean out of the box. Do you need anything else in this budget? In China few lucky users are able to get their hands in to this lovely little piece of smartphone. Iocean is expected to ship review copies soon. But I haven’t received any official news from their end as of now.

Sony Xperia Z Launch in India on 6th March
