Konka Expose

Konka, a consumer electronics company based on China is now entering in Indian smartphone market with a brand new smartphone Konka Expose W970. The phone already made available in China. Now it’s coming in Indian market in collaboration with Mak Mobility. Back in December the vendor promised to invest 30 billion in Indian market. A series of smartphones to come from their house. Now it looks like they have started the roll out. Several other Chinese brands like Zopo,UmiJiaYuIoceanMoguGionee have announced their flagship models for the Indian market. Now this decisive move from Konka will do nothing but increase the heat of the market. Buyers can get more advantage of this move. Competition is inversely proportional to price but directly proportional to QoC (quality of service).

Kanka is targeting executive, picture and camera, music and fashion/style, all 4 smartphone market. But initially they will launch Kanka Expose W970, a brilliant camera phone using Konka’s own image capture technology i-sport. Few other handsets they already have lined up. Business executives will get Konka Texudo with some preloaded productivity apps. Music lovers will get a series of ‘Tango’ smartphones while fashion lovers will get Konka Viva smartphone.
“The brand is making a confident and clutter-breaking entry with their “Konka Mobile – part of your life” campaign–that is centered around the approach that Konka products are designed around consumer needs and certainly not as a cheaper alternative. With this launch, the products will focus on the ‘young at heart’ generation of tech and style-savvy individuals.” Manish Pengoriya, Director of Mak Mobility, said.
In addition, all Konka smartphones will come up with integrated cloud solution which is first time in Indian market. Therefore, from outset it looks like Konka is having long term business plans in Indian soil.
Well, Konka Expose comes with 4.5 inch qHD display and dual core MediaTek MT6577 SoC, 512 MB RAM, Android 4.0 ICS and MUSE UI. Hardware may not sound too impressive but in software section Konka is looking to incorporate some innovative features. Price of Kanka Expose W970 is $256. Let’s hope it’s close to Rs 12000 in Indian market.
