LG Optimus F5 and Optimus F7 officially announced with Android 4.1 JB & 4G LTE

Just a couple of hours ago, we shared with you the leaked images of the LG Optimus F5 and LG Optimus F7 smartphones and the company has now made the devices official. The Optimus F Series is designed to bring a premium user experience and the speed of 4G LTE to a mass audience.

The LG Optimus F5 packs in a 4.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM. The smartphone arrives with a 5 MP camera on the rear with LED Flash with a 1.3 MP front facing camera. Internal memory on the LG Optimus F5 is 8 GB which can be expandable to 32 GB. All of these are powered by a 2150 mAh battery.


Next is the LG Optimus F7 which arrives with a 4.7-inch True-HD IPS display with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels which being powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory is pegged at 8 GB which is expandable to 32 GB. An 8 MP camera on the rear with LED Flash while a 1.3 MP camera on the front has been included for video calls. The smartphone is powered by a 2540 mAh.

The worldwide rollout of the Optimus F5 will begin in the second quarter in Europe, followed soon by the Optimus F7 in selected markets. Exact timing and pricing will be announced at a later date.

Iocean X7 Spotted in the Wild

Iocean X7  or OuSheng X7 is spotted in the wild. This time images are pretty sharp and you should get the feeling that it’s a premium smartphone that is expected to be shipped in Indian market at an amazingly low price tag. According to  Gizchina  the droid could be priced 999 Yuan or $160 USD which means in India you can expect the phablet for as low as Rs 9000. Iocean also mentioned the same in their official mailer last week. Release date is not mentioned, but you can expect it by March. As I already mentioned in my previous post it sports 5 inch Full HD display at 441 ppi, 13 MP camera, quad core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, 2 GB RAM and of course Android 4.1 JellyBean out of the box. Do you need anything else in this budget? In China few lucky users are able to get their hands in to this lovely little piece of smartphone. Iocean is expected to ship review copies soon. But I haven’t received any official news from their end as of now.

Sony Xperia Z Launch in India on 6th March

The Sony flagship smartphone is on the way to India. With a teaser on it’s official Facebook Page, Sony Mobile has confirmed that Xperia Z will be launch on March 6th in Indian markets. There is not much information regarding the price of this smartphone, but rumours suggest that the price will be something similar to recently announced HTC Butterfly, which costs Rs. 45,500.
