Lava Iris 454, a new Lava smartphone is expected to hit Indian market very soon at an attractive price tag of Rs 8499. Yesterday Lava Iris 502 was spotted in Saholic with out of the box Android 4.1 JellyBean but the processor was stepped down to 1 GHz. Iris 501 was launched with dual core 1 GHz processor and got good response from market. Now Lava is back on track once again. I don’t understand why they don’t pack JellyBean and dual core processor together at around the same price. People just want best alternative of Micromax Canvas HD. But it seems no other Indian company really wants to take on Canvas HD. RAM is 512 MB in all these Lava handsets. Now so many China companies are coming in Indian market with way better specs and surprisingly low price tag. If these companies fail to adopt market trend it’s really difficult for them to survive in the long run.
Lava Iris 454 flaunts 4.5 inch qHD IPS LCD display, 8 MP camera, 1 GHz dual core processor. Possibly, it uses the MediaTek MT6577 SoC that is already used in Lava Iris 501. Internal storage is 2 GB and there is a micro SD card slot.
The handset looks cool, has 9.9 mm profile but these just don’t make much sense when the hardware is not what users love to have. If it’s using dual core chip with 1 GB RAM and Android 4.1 JellyBean at around Rs 9000 it would have been threatening the rivals. But the time has not come yet!
