Huawei Ascend G600 & Ascend G330 launched in India

Facing stiff competition from companies like Micromax in the smartphone markets, Huawei launched two of its new smartphones in the Indian market. The smartphones, the Huawei Ascend G600 and Ascend G330 are powered by the Android OS and have specs which try to strike a balance between price and features.


The dual core processor phone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone features the durable Corning Gorilla glass touch screen.
 
The 4.5 inch qHD screen with a high 960 x 540 pixel resolution is big enough to provide a unique viewing experience on the mobile. The smartphone has a 768 MB RAM which will ensure that all apps run smoothly simultaneously. The devices sports an 8 Megapixel rear camera which can be used to click good photos. The mobile can access the internet via Wi-Fi and is Bluetooth enabled to support file sharing.
 
The specs of the Ascend G600 are as follows:

The second phone, the Ascend G330 is aimed at working professionals. The 1 GHz processor is used to deliver services like word editing and presentations. The phone has 7 Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telegu, Bengali, Gujrati and Punjabi) inbuilt.
 
The phone is powered by the ICS OS of Android. The 5 MP camera with flash can be used for the occasional photos. The smartphone which has a front facing VGA camera supports video calls over 3G. The phone also provides 3G connectivity and High speed internet access besides the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
 
The specifications of the Ascend G330 are:

Huawei has price the Ascend G600 and the Ascend G330 at Rs.14,990 and Rs.11,490 respectively and the smartphones are available through various online and offline retailers. For now, the only thing that has to be seen is how long the battery will run, else we feel that for the price quoted, the specs are definitely justified.

Iocean X7 Spotted in the Wild

Iocean X7  or OuSheng X7 is spotted in the wild. This time images are pretty sharp and you should get the feeling that it’s a premium smartphone that is expected to be shipped in Indian market at an amazingly low price tag. According to  Gizchina  the droid could be priced 999 Yuan or $160 USD which means in India you can expect the phablet for as low as Rs 9000. Iocean also mentioned the same in their official mailer last week. Release date is not mentioned, but you can expect it by March. As I already mentioned in my previous post it sports 5 inch Full HD display at 441 ppi, 13 MP camera, quad core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, 2 GB RAM and of course Android 4.1 JellyBean out of the box. Do you need anything else in this budget? In China few lucky users are able to get their hands in to this lovely little piece of smartphone. Iocean is expected to ship review copies soon. But I haven’t received any official news from their end as of now.

Sony Xperia Z Launch in India on 6th March

The Sony flagship smartphone is on the way to India. With a teaser on it’s official Facebook Page, Sony Mobile has confirmed that Xperia Z will be launch on March 6th in Indian markets. There is not much information regarding the price of this smartphone, but rumours suggest that the price will be something similar to recently announced HTC Butterfly, which costs Rs. 45,500.
